25 Palestinians killed in Israeli attack on Red Cross headquarters in Gaza

An Israeli attack in Rafah, south of Gaza, on a Red Cross unit, left 25 dead and 50 injured on Friday night (21). According to the humanitarian entity, the offensive caused “a massive influx of victims” to the nearby field hospital, while hundreds of displaced people surrounded the facilities.

“Firing so dangerously close to humanitarian structures, the location of which is known to the parties to the conflict and which are clearly marked with the Red Cross emblem, endangers the lives of civilians and staff,” criticized the ICRC.

The Gaza Ministry of Health, in turn, announced that Israel’s attack on the Al-Mawasi humanitarian zone, located about 10 km from the city of Rafah, resulted in 25 deaths and 50 injuries, however, the Israeli regime denied carrying out an attack in that area, stating that the incident is being investigated.

Israeli forces intensified bombings in the Palestinian enclave on Friday and, according to medical sources, at least 30 people lost their lives in the attacks.

“ It was a difficult and very violent day in Gaza City. So far, around 30 martyrs have been transferred to Al-Ahli hospital,” declared doctor Fadel Naim, director of the center of that city north of the Strip.

Israel has killed more than 37,396 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 7. More than 85,523 people were also injured. More than 1.7 million people have been internally displaced in this war.

Previously, the United Nations had called Gaza an “uninhabitable place” and reported that “Israel is eradicating an entire nation” in the coastal enclave.
