Javier Milei shares posts on X criticizing Lula

The president of Argentina, Javier Milei (La Libertad Avanza, right), shared this Monday (27.Jul.2026) several publications criticizing the Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in your account on X. The contents, published by other internet users and reposted by them, intensify tension between the 2 countries.

Last Saturday (Jul 25), at a PL event in São Paulo, Milei criticized openly Lula and minister Alexandre de Moraes, from Supremo Tribunal Federal. The speeches went down badly in Brasília. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Brazilian ambassador to Argentina, Julio Bitelli, for consultations. He also called the Argentine ambassador to Brazil, Daniel Raimondi, to present a formal protest against Milei’s statements.
