The Russian Defense Ministry reported this Sunday (19) about a massive attack overnight against companies in the military-industrial complex and logistics centers in the Ukrainian capital, in Kiev province, and in the port of Yuzhny, in Odessa.
The operation comes after the Ukrainian attack, with drones, this Saturday (18) against civilian logistics centers in the Russian provinces of Moscow and Tambov, which left at least eight dead. Tambov governor Yevgeny Pervyshov described the aggression as “a planned attack against the civilian population.”
According to the official statement, the Russian Armed Forces employed high-precision aerial and ground weaponry, along with unmanned aerial attack vehicles.
Among the strategic targets in Kiev was the Radionix company, which produces control systems for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, FP-7 and FP-9 tactical missiles, and Neptun-MD guided missiles. Spetsoboronmash/Artem, a manufacturer of aerospace components, and Kyiv-90 (Meridian), which produces fuselage elements for missiles, were also hit.
“Tonight, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a massive attack with high-precision air and ground weapons, as well as attack drones, against military industry enterprises and logistics centers in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as infrastructure facilities in the port of Yuzhny in the Odessa region, used for the delivery and storage of cargo for military use, as well as fuels and lubricants intended to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said the statement released by the Russian ministry.
Targets hit
Oakline Kiev, a supplier of components for long-range Deep Strike drones and batteries for FPV drones, was another target and suffered direct impacts. The selected targets included facilities used for the “delivery and storage of military cargo” as well as fuel destined for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Kyiv Novaya Pochta Innovative Terminal sorting center, which processes dual-use products for the manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicles, and the Tarasovka Antel Properties center, responsible for assembling components for long-range drones, were also destroyed as part of the offensive that targeted essential logistics infrastructure.
In the Odessa region, attacks focused on fuel and lubricant depots in the port of Yuzhny.
