Faced with new attacks by the United States against Iranian facilities in recent days, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei stated this Saturday (18), on social media, that President Donald Trump has failed to comply with all agreements and that the signature of an American leader has no value.
“The Great Satan’s repeated violation of the Agreement’s commitments has once again revealed the truth: the signature of the President of the United States has as little value and credibility as the deceitful, treacherous and brutal words and conduct of the American regime,” says the publication.
Subsequently, the Iranian leader published messages defending national unity and reaffirming confidence in the country’s authorities. He said he believes in the work of military commanders and that they work for the “happiness of the nation”.
Khamenei stated that it is also the population’s duty to maintain the country’s unity and that political differences cannot compromise popular cohesion.
The Ayatollah has the same opinion as Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who earlier on Saturday (18) stated on social media that the USA is no longer a “superpower”. Khamenei followed the same reasoning.
“Now that the American enemy has paid an increasingly high price for fueling the war and bearing its heavy costs, the beloved Iranian nation and the resistance front know that the days when the United States could ignore these consequences have come to an end. The bravery of the fighters of Islam and the courage of the people of Haifa have shown this in recent days,” he wrote.
Low in the USA
The Central Command of the United States Armed Forces reported, also this Saturday (18), that two American soldiers died after Iranian attacks on a military base in Jordan. A soldier remains missing. The deaths would have occurred on Friday (17).
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard confirmed that it carried out an operation against US bases in Jordan, hitting two fighters and two aircraft after an attack with drones and missiles.
