Message attributed to Maduro says that he and his wife, Cilia Flores, will remain “strong, serene and confident”
Nicolás Maduro’s profile on X published this Sunday (30 August 2026) images of the Venezuelan in prison. The images are dated June 25th. The post is accompanied by a message attributed to Maduro.
“I want you to know that we are firm, with our hearts full of your love, this love that comes to us converted into prayer, permanent action, solidarity and true support. Infinite thanks for every word, for every gesture, for every blessing”the publication reads.
“I’m sending these photos as a little gift to all my grandsons and granddaughters, to the boys and girls, and to all the loved ones who love us.”says the post.
Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have been imprisoned in New York (United States) since January this year. They face accusations of drug and weapons trafficking, which they deny.
“Cilia and I embrace you forever, with our hearts toward you and our faith in God unshakable.”states the publication.
“We will remain strong, serene and confident: God is with us. God will provide. Venezuela will be reborn”he declares.
