Ingredients
500g ground meat (can be beef, pork, chicken or a combination thereof)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup of milk
1 egg
1/2 chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup of water
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
Mix well until all ingredients are well incorporated. - With your hands, form small balls of meat the desired size for the meatballs.
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
Add the meatballs and fry until golden brown on all sides. - Add the tomato sauce and water to the skillet and stir gently.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. - Let the sauce simmer and reduce until the meatballs are fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the meatballs with the sauce over a bed of pasta or rice.
