  • 500g ground meat (can be beef, pork, chicken or a combination thereof)

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1/4 cup of milk

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 chopped onion

  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1 can of tomato sauce

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. 
    Mix well until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • With your hands, form small balls of meat the desired size for the meatballs.
  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. 
    Add the meatballs and fry until golden brown on all sides.
  • Add the tomato sauce and water to the skillet and stir gently. 
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Let the sauce simmer and reduce until the meatballs are fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
  • Serve the meatballs with the sauce over a bed of pasta or rice.
