This Formigueiro Cake will be delicious using the ingredients below and following the step-by-step preparation instructions.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup of oil

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 cup chocolate sprinkles or colored sprinkles

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with butter and flour.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Add the oil and milk to the mixture and continue beating.
  • Gradually add the wheat flour and baking powder, mixing until the dough is well incorporated and there are no lumps.
  • Lastly, add the chocolate sprinkles or colored sprinkles and mix gently.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before unmolding.
  • Serve the anthill cake in pieces and enjoy!
