Russia carried out a series of attacks on Ukrainian logistics centers and ports between Friday (28) and this Saturday (29). According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the country’s forces reached warehouses belonging to the company Fim Service, used to store components of the Flamingo long-range missiles. The facilities are in Kiev and nearby regions.
One of the places hit was a warehouse with explosive material in the town of Myla, near Kiev. The attack generated detonations that left 37 dead, 42 injured and 50 homes destroyed, according to official information from Ukraine.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky himself, the location should not house explosive material: “There are regulations: ammunition cannot be stored near houses or other residential areas.”
Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi also spoke out, recalling another attack with similar consequences on an ammunition depot in Vyshneve, near Kiev, in July. At the time, 22 people died, and an investigation revealed serious security failures on the part of the state company that owns the site.
The Ukrainian government said it will investigate irregular storage at Myla.
Russian attacks were also carried out on the ports of Izmail and Nikolayev, on a logistics center in Kalinovka used to distribute military shipments sent by Western countries, and on an ammunition depot, according to official information from Moscow.
