Video shows child being pulled from the rubble of a house 2 days after the disaster in the Himalayas

A 6-year-old girl was rescued alive on Friday (28.Aug.2026), after remaining buried for around 60 hours under the rubble of a house in Timure, in northern Nepal.

The region was hit by floods and slides of water, mud and debris that affected communities in the border region with Tibet on Wednesday (26.Aug.2026). The death toll exceeds 600. There are at least 3,000 people missing.

Images show agents removing the debris until they reach the child. She was taken out conscious and received care and food.
