1 can of condensed milk
2 cans of milk (use the measurement of the condensed milk can)
3 egg yolks
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 package of champagne biscuits or cornstarch
Fresh strawberries washed and cut into slices
3 egg whites
6 tablespoons of sugar
1 can of whey-free cream
Directions
- In a pan, mix the condensed milk, milk, egg yolks and cornstarch until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Place the pan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cream thickens.
Remove from heat and add vanilla essence.
Let cool. - In a bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff.
- Add the sugar little by little, continuing to beat, until you get a shiny meringue.
- Gently mix the cream into the meringue until completely incorporated.
- In a refractory, start by making a layer of cream at the bottom.
- Quickly soak the champagne biscuits in milk (or a juice of your choice) and layer them over the cream.
- Add a layer of sliced strawberries on top of the cookies.
- Repeat the layers until the refractory is filled, ending with a layer of cream.
- Cover the pavé with the reserved meringue and cream frosting, spreading it evenly.
- Leave the pavé in the fridge for at least 3 hours, or until it is very cold and firm.
- When serving, decorate the pavé with fresh strawberries on top.
