Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 2 cans of milk (use the measurement of the condensed milk can)

  • 3 egg yolks

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

  • 1 package of champagne biscuits or cornstarch

  • Fresh strawberries washed and cut into slices

  • 3 egg whites

  • 6 tablespoons of sugar

  • 1 can of whey-free cream

Directions

  • In a pan, mix the condensed milk, milk, egg yolks and cornstarch until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Place the pan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cream thickens. 
    Remove from heat and add vanilla essence. 
    Let cool.
  • In a bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff.
  • Add the sugar little by little, continuing to beat, until you get a shiny meringue.
  • Gently mix the cream into the meringue until completely incorporated.
  • In a refractory, start by making a layer of cream at the bottom.
  • Quickly soak the champagne biscuits in milk (or a juice of your choice) and layer them over the cream.
  • Add a layer of sliced ​​strawberries on top of the cookies.
  • Repeat the layers until the refractory is filled, ending with a layer of cream.
  • Cover the pavé with the reserved meringue and cream frosting, spreading it evenly.
  • Leave the pavé in the fridge for at least 3 hours, or until it is very cold and firm.
  • When serving, decorate the pavé with fresh strawberries on top.
