Use the ingredients:

Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 cloves of garlic (or more, depending on your taste)

  • 1/2 cup olive oil

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • Juice of 1 lemon (or to taste)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Directions

  • Peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely or press them using a garlic press.
  • In a bowl, mix the minced/squeezed garlic with the olive oil. 
    Let sit for at least 15 to 20 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  • After the resting time, add the mayonnaise to the garlic and olive oil mixture. 
    Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous consistency.
  • Add the lemon juice to the mixture and stir again. 
    The lemon juice will help balance the strong flavor of the garlic and add a citrus touch to the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. 
    Remember to start with a small amount of salt and adjust as needed.
  • If desired, add chopped fresh parsley to the sauce for a touch of freshness and color.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning according to your personal preferences, whether adding more garlic, lemon, salt or pepper.
  • Transfer the garlic sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. 
    This will allow the flavors to develop further.
  • Serve the garlic sauce with bread, grilled meats, raw vegetables or any other dish you prefer. 
    It is an excellent option as a side dish or condiment.
