Let’s make your Simple Pavé following the step-by-step preparation method and using the ingredients below.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of cornstarch biscuits

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 2 cans of milk (use the measurement of the condensed milk can)

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

  • 200g chocolate bar (can be milk or semi-sweet chocolate)

  • 1 small box of cream

Directions

  • In a pan, mix the condensed milk, egg yolks, cornstarch and two cans of milk. 
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and forms a cream. 
    Remove from heat and add vanilla essence. 
    Let the cream cool.
  • In a bowl, melt the chocolate bars in the microwave or in a bain-marie. 
    Add the cream to the melted chocolate and mix well until you obtain a homogeneous cream.
  • On a platter, make a layer of cornstarch cookies at the bottom.
  • Pour half of the white cream over the cookies and spread well.
  • Make another layer of cornstarch cookies over the white cream and then pour all the chocolate cream over the cookies. 
    Spread the chocolate cream evenly.
  • Repeat the layering process with cornstarch cookies and white cream until you finish the ingredients, ending with a layer of white cream on top.
  • Place the pavé in the refrigerator and let it cool for at least 3 hours to make it firm.
  • Before serving, you can decorate the pavé with chocolate shavings, chocolate sprinkles or whatever you prefer.
  • Serve the pavé chilled and enjoy!
