Ingredients
1 cup of wheat flour
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup of milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
Oil or cooking spray to grease the pan
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and then add the milk and melted butter.
Mix well. - Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredient mixture and stir until the batter is smooth.
The dough may have some lumps, but avoid stirring too much. - Heat a frying pan over medium heat and coat it with oil or cooking spray.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the hot skillet to form each pancake.
Cook until bubbles start to form on the surface of the pancake and the edges are firm. - Flip the pancake with a spatula and cook the other side until golden.
- Repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
- Serve the pancakes hot with maple syrup, fresh fruit, honey or whatever you prefer.
