For the Milk Cake, use the ingredients below and follow the step-by-step preparation instructions.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)

  • A bit of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Grease a cake pan with butter or oil and sprinkle a little flour to prevent the cake from sticking.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar and baking powder.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs. 
    Add the milk, oil and vanilla extract (if using) to the beaten eggs. 
    Mix well.
  • Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Make sure not to overmix, just enough to combine the ingredients.
  • Pour the dough into the greased pan.
  • Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before unmolding. 
    Then let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  • If desired, you can add a topping of your choice, such as icing, melted chocolate, or simply sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
