The Liberal Party (Center left) won the parliamentary elections in Canada. On the night of Monday (28) projections already realized the victory. With this, the current Prime Minister Mark Carney, party leader, will remain in office after Justin Trudeau’s resignation.
This will be the fourth mandate followed by the party. Votes are still missing to be counted, but the indicative is that the liberal party will have 168 parliamentary chairs, and the conservative party with 144. The absolute majority to form a government without the support of other parties is 172 parliamentarians.
Therefore, the liberals have not been able to have the majority alone and now they should depend on some alliance with the other parties: Bloc Quebécois (Quebequense Block), NDP (New Democratic Party) and the Green Party.
