Churros Cake with Dulce de Leche Frosting

Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 can of dulce de leche (about 400g)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease a cake pan with butter and sprinkle with wheat flour. - In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon powder and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, oil and vanilla extract until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Pour the liquid ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix well until the batter is fully combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place in the preheated oven.
Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. - Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan.
- After the cake has cooled, turn it out onto a serving plate.
- Heat the can of dulce de leche in a bain-marie or in the microwave in short bursts until it becomes a little more liquid and easier to spread.
- Pour the heated dulce de leche over the churro cake, covering it completely.
- You can finish by decorating the cake with icing sugar and ground cinnamon, if desired.
