For your Churros Cake with Dulce de Leche Frosting, use the ingredients below and follow the preparation instructions.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 can of dulce de leche (about 400g)

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Grease a cake pan with butter and sprinkle with wheat flour.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon powder and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, oil and vanilla extract until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pour the liquid ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix well until the batter is fully combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place in the preheated oven. 
    Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan.
  • After the cake has cooled, turn it out onto a serving plate.
  • Heat the can of dulce de leche in a bain-marie or in the microwave in short bursts until it becomes a little more liquid and easier to spread.
  • Pour the heated dulce de leche over the churro cake, covering it completely.
  • You can finish by decorating the cake with icing sugar and ground cinnamon, if desired.
  • Cut a generous slice and enjoy your delicious churro cake with dulce de leche topping!
