Apple cake.

Ingredients

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 3 whole eggs (63 to 65g each)

  • 3 large apples, peeled and sliced

  • 1/3 cup (tea) of sugar (60g) or 3 spoons

  • 1/3 cup (tea) of wheat flour (45g) or 3 tablespoons

  • Powdered sugar to taste for finishing (optional)

Directions

  • Mix the apple slices with the lemon juice in a bowl, transfer to a greased and floured pan and set aside.
  • Add the eggs to the bowl of a mixer and beat them well until they have a foamy consistency.
  • Add the sugar little by little and continue beating the eggs until a light cream forms.
  • Gradually add the wheat flour while beating until the dough is very creamy.
  • Pour the batter over the apple slices in the pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  • Bake the cake for approximately 35 to 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180º₢.
  • Unmold the cake after it has cooled a little, sprinkle powdered sugar on top to taste and it’s ready.
