Revolutionary Guard releases video of Spanish player during increased tensions with the United States
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard published on Tuesday (21.Jul.2026) a drone video with a photo of Spanish player Lamine Yamal holding a Palestinian flag. The phrase also appears on the equipment: “The supporters of Palestine and Iran are the champions of the world.”
The 19-year-old player, champion of the men’s football World Cup on Sunday (Jul 19), has already celebrated a Barcelona title with a Palestinian flag.

Prior to Iran’s publication, U.S. Central Command stated have completed the 10th consecutive day of attacks against Iran. With the increase in tensions, Brent oil reached US$95 this Wednesday morning (Jul 22, 2026), an increase of 4.8% compared to Tuesday’s closing (Jul 21).
Here is the video of the Catalan team’s celebration for the Spanish Championship title (49s):

ROCAFONDA
Yamal often remembers his origins in Rocafonda, a humble and multicultural neighborhood with a strong presence of immigrants in the city of Mataró, in Catalonia. In celebrations, the athlete makes the number 304 gesture with his hands, a tribute to the region’s postal code (08304). The sign has become a symbol of pride for the local community.
Son of a Moroccan father (Mounir Nasraoui) and a Guinean mother (Sheila Ebana, from Equatorial Guinea), the player was born in Esplugues de Llobregat, in the metropolitan region of Barcelona, and was raised in Mataró.
His grandmother, Fátima, migrated from Morocco and worked in Spain to support her 5 children. She took care of her grandson in a public square while the boy’s parents worked. As a child, Yamal shared a small apartment with his grandmother and 10 other relatives.
