The US Air Force confirmed this Friday (3) that it has begun an operation to locate the crew of the F-15E fighter shot down by Iran. This is the second aircraft shot down in operation by the Iranians.

According to agencies, one of the crew has already been located and rescued, while a second remains missing. The fighter was reportedly shot down in the Persian Gulf region, close to the Strait of Hormuz.

“After the defeat of Iran 37 consecutive times, the objective of the failed war they started went from changing the government in the country to the search for the American pilot”, commented in X the president of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

CNN reported that Iranian state media on Friday released photos of what it said was the wreckage of a US Air Force fighter jet shot down by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
