Ingredients
1 cup toasted, skinless hazelnuts
2 tablespoons 100% cocoa powder
1/3 cup powdered sugar (or honey for a natural version)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or coconut oil)
1 pinch of salt
Warm water (optional, to adjust texture)
Directions
- If they are not yet toasted, bake the hazelnuts in the oven for 10 minutes at 180 °C. Remove the skin by rubbing with a clean cloth.
- Place the hazelnuts in the processor and blend until they become a creamy paste (this takes 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the power of the appliance).
- Add the cocoa, sugar, vanilla, salt and oil. Beat until well combined.
- If you want it more fluid, add a little warm water or more oil, little by little.
- Store in a sterilized jar and consume within 10 days. No need to refrigerate if you are going to consume it quickly!
