Ingredients
500g ground meat (can be beef, pork, chicken, or a mix)
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped (optional)
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green chives (parsley and chives) to finish
Directions
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until they are golden.
- Add the ground beef, break up any larger pieces with a wooden spoon and cook until the meat is completely browned.
- Add the tomatoes and pepper (if using), stir well and cook for a few more minutes until the tomatoes start to break down.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you wish, you can add other seasonings such as cumin, paprika or oregano.
- Cook for a few more minutes to ensure all the flavors blend well.
- Finish with chopped green chilli before serving.
