Ingredients

  • 500g ground meat (can be beef, pork, chicken, or a mix)

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped

  • 1 green pepper, chopped (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Chopped green chives (parsley and chives) to finish

Directions

  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until they are golden.
  • Add the ground beef, break up any larger pieces with a wooden spoon and cook until the meat is completely browned.
  • Add the tomatoes and pepper (if using), stir well and cook for a few more minutes until the tomatoes start to break down.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you wish, you can add other seasonings such as cumin, paprika or oregano.
  • Cook for a few more minutes to ensure all the flavors blend well.
  • Finish with chopped green chilli before serving.
