Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cornmeal

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup of oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, wheat flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the oil and milk. Mix well.
  • Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Pour the dough into a greased and floured pan, or one lined with baking paper.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before cutting into pieces.
