To prepare your Corn Cake you will need to use the ingredients below and follow the step-by-step preparation instructions.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of green corn (drained)

  • 1 can of milk (use the corn can as a measure)

  • 3 eggs

  • 1/2 cup of oil

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar

  • 1 and 1/2 cups corn flour

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a blender, beat the corn, milk, eggs and oil until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • In a bowl, mix the sugar, corn flour, wheat flour and baking powder.
  • Add the blender mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Pour the dough into a greased and floured pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let it cool before unmolding.
