1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder

2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
- In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add onion powder and garlic powder, stirring for about 1 minute until aromatic.
- Add the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the pan.Â
Stir well to combine all ingredients. - Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat to low.Â
Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened. - If you want to add a smoky touch to the sauce, add the liquid smoke at this point.Â
Stir well to incorporate the smoked flavor. - Remove the barbecue sauce from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- Use barbecue sauce immediately as a topping for grilled meat, ribs, chicken or as a dipping sauce.Â
You can also store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a few weeks.
