Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup butter (at room temperature)
1 cup of milk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter and flour.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.Â
Reserve. - In another bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.Â
Add the vanilla essence and mix again. - Gradually add the flour mixture alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.Â
Beat on low speed just until the ingredients are incorporated. - Be careful not to over-beat.
- Pour the dough into the prepared mold and level the surface with a spatula.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes.Â
Then transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely.
