The United States will prevent foreign authorities from being understood as “an accomplices of censorship to Americans” from entering the country, according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Although the announcement has not been directed to any person specifically, the attitude happens amid the mobilization of the Brazilian far right that aims to embarrass national authorities for their work.
The main target of the pockets is the Supreme Court Minister (STF), Alexandre de Moraes. He is the rapporteur of criminal prosecution on the coup plot whose main name is former President Jair Bolsonaro.
With this, Eduardo Bolsonaro graduated from the mandate of federal deputy and went to live in the US to organize an external movement against Moraes and other authorities of the Judiciary, Public Prosecution Service and Federal Police.

Eduardo and other extremists have sought sanctions against the STF minister as a way to disrupt the conduct of the judgments surrounding his father, as well as to electorally capitalize a possible American action by building a false collusion narrative against the Bolsonaro family.
At this point, the measure announced by Rubio does not yet meet the desire of the pockets for a direct attack on Alexandre de Moraes. The intention of the scammers is to impose a sanction that goes beyond the simple impediment of entry into the United States, extending to the blockade of any assets in the country and the ban on financial transactions.
However, although they have not yet achieved their goal, the pockets feed the idea that President Donald Trump would already have a decree prepared at their request.
On Tuesday (27), the STF minister accepted the request of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to open an inquiry against Eduardo and investigate his performance in the US. The case may even culminate in Jair’s blockade for admitting to support his son at the stay outside Brazil.
Big Techs and ‘Protected’ from the far right
According to Rubio, the US government’s initiative happens because they consider it “unacceptable” to be issued arrest warrants against citizens or residents in the US by posts on social networks on platforms in the country, as well as the requirement of these companies being subjected to moderation based on the laws of the country or region where they operate.
Thus, the US government incorporates the demand of the big techs that act contrary to any regulation of its service, as it has advanced in proposals in the European Union.

In this current visa restriction initiative, Alexandre de Moraes may be included by clashes with Elon Musk’s platform X, which today operates in the US government, and against the Rumble Platform – which processes the minister in a court in Florida (US).
If the Trump government is further stroke, it could include in this alleged list of ‘censorship’ two fugitives from Brazilian justice: Paulo Figueiredo, former presenter of the young Pan, and Allan dos Santos, a Boconist blogger. Both have open pre -trial detention requests in Brazil.
