The war began by Israel against Iran arrives on the eighth day, this Friday (20). Without advances for the end of the aggressions, UN Secretary-General António Guterres called for “a chance to peace” in the emergency session of the Security Council at the request of Iran.
Guterres showed concern about the rapid advance of conflict by saying that the crisis must be stopped at the risk of “lighting an uncontrollable flame”, which should be avoided. Hospitals in both countries have been hit, a situation that aggravates the crisis and has direct consequences for civilians and medical care infrastructure.
Efforts for an Armistice have been fruitful due to Israel’s posture. At the council meeting, the Israeli ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, said the attacks will not be interrupted until his country neutralizes what he considers to be “nuclear threats.”

Parallel to the Council in New York (USA), Geneva, Switzerland, Abbas Aragchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, found the chancers of Germany, France and the United Kingdom. The Iranian side is open to peace dialogue, but asks Israel to cease the attacks to advance on the subject, as well as argue that the US does not get involved in negotiations – as it is accomplice.
United States President Donald Trump has already threatened the Iranians veiled by claiming that he would decide in two weeks he would enter the war alongside Israel. In fact, he analyzes whether participating in the war will not be a setback to the government, as the US population is contrary to the war and refers to Trump’s campaign promise that they would not be involved in other people’s conflicts.
Despite conversations, European countries have maintained similar attitude to the US to force Iran to interrupt any nuclear production. The Iranians guarantee and no one denied them, not even the International Atomic Energy Agency (AIEA), that their atomic production has peaceful purposes, such as energy, radiopharmaceutical and plant fuels.

Other interests and concerns
Despite the justification of making any Iranian nuclear potential unfeasible, the government of Benjamin Netanyahu also intends to overthrow the local political regime, even intending to attack Ayatollah Khamenei, head of state of Iran.
Thus, the advance of Israeli attacks achieved the nuclear installation of Khondab/Arak, Iran, attracting the attention of the world to the risk of a Tragedy equal to Chernobyl (northern Ukraine), impairing the entire region. Despite the fright with the bomber to the heavy water research reactor (to produce plutonium) partially constructed, there was no radioactive leakage, as the installation was not in operation.

Iran has responded to missile aggressions that have escaped from the potent Israeli protection system: iron dome (missile defense system) and iron radius (laser defense system). At least 24 people died in Israel, with over 1200 injured and about 8,000 displaced. On the side of Iran, there are more than 600 dead.
It is important to highlight that the front of aggressions opened by Israel against Iran is marked by hypocrisy, as the Jewish state has had a nuclear program since 1950, responsible for producing at least 90 nuclear pumps.
