With its creamy texture and slightly sweet flavor, it is a versatile recipe, ideal for breakfast, quick snacks or starters at parties and gatherings. Made with basic and accessible ingredients, it is easy to prepare and pleases all palates.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of sweet corn (drained)

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional, for a lighter pate)

  • 1 small garlic clove (optional, to enhance flavor)

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Chopped chives or parsley for garnish

Directions

  • In a blender or food processor, place the drained corn, mayonnaise, and, if preferred, cream.
  • Add the garlic, a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  • Blend until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. If you prefer a pâté with small pieces of corn, blend for less time.
  • Adjust salt and seasoning if necessary.
  • Transfer the pâté to a container, garnish with chopped chives or parsley and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving, to enhance the flavor.
