Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • The same measure (from the can of condensed milk) of milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)

Directions

  • In a pan, melt the sugar over low heat until you get a golden caramel.
  • Pour the caramel into a pudding mold, ensuring it evenly covers the bottom.
  • In a blender, add the eggs, condensed milk, milk and vanilla essence.
  • Mix until you get a smooth mixture.
  • Pour this mixture over the caramel in the pudding mold.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a bowl, mix the wheat flour, sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, baking powder and vanilla essence.
  • Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Carefully pour the cake batter over the pudding mixture in the pan.
  • Place the mold on a larger baking tray, filling the tray with hot water until it reaches half the height of the pudding mold. 
    This helps the pudding cook evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let it cool before unmolding. 
    Run a knife around the edges to loosen the pudding cake.
  • Turn the pudding cake onto a serving plate.
