Ingredients
1.5 kg of beef ribs (whole piece or cut into pieces)
2 medium onions, chopped
4 garlic cloves, chopped
2 ripe tomatoes, chopped
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
1 tablespoon paprika or paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
Hot water (approximately 1 cup)
Directions
- Start by heating the oil in the pressure cooker.
- Add the chopped onions and garlic to the pan and sauté until golden.
- Add the chopped tomato and continue cooking until it starts to break down.
- Add paprika or paprika and mix well.
- Season the rib with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Place the ribs in the pressure cooker and sear them on all sides until they are golden.
- Add approximately 1 cup of hot water to the pan.
The amount of water may vary depending on the size of your pan and the amount of ribs, but it is important to have enough liquid to create pressure. - Cover the pressure cooker and place it over high heat.
As soon as pressure starts to build (the pan will start to sizzle), reduce the heat to low and cook for about 30 to 40 minutes.
The time may vary depending on the size and thickness of the rib. - After the cooking time, turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally before opening the pan.
This may take a few minutes. - Make sure the ribs are tender and cooked to your liking.
If necessary, you can return the pan to the heat without pressure to reduce the liquid and thicken the sauce. - Serve the prime rib with the sauce on top, accompanied by rice, beans and vegetables, if desired.
