Israel’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip resulted in more than 300 dead in just 48 hours, according to the Palestinian Authority, which denounced “26 bloody massacres” in this short period.

The number of victims includes at least 33 Palestinians murdered while waiting for food at Centers of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a structure created with support from the United States and the Israeli government itself. In the last 24 hours alone, the attacks left 118 dead and 581 injured, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.

Bombings hit popular markets, overcrowded shelters, residential areas and food distribution centers. One of the most lethal attacks occurred in Al-Mawasi, in southern Enclave, where 13 people were killed in a tent for internal displaces.

Another attack hit Mustafa Hafez school in the west of Gaza, killing 16 people and hurting tens. “We woke up with bombings so intense that they looked like an earthquake. The victims were burning for hours without anyone could help them,” said Ahmed Mansour, one of the survivors.

Climbing occurs in full resumption of ceasefire negotiations. US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that Israel had accepted the “necessary conditions” for a 60 -day truce.

However, so far, the government of Benjamin Netanyahu avoids publicly confirming any commitment to the end of the war. Instead, the prime minister reaffirmed his promise to completely eliminate Hamas.

Open executions: shots against hungry in help centers

Testimonies collected by journalists and humanitarian organizations describe a brutal reality in the lines for food in the GHF centers. According to Al Jazeera, hungry civilians wait for hours in front of the gates, just to be received with gusts of machine gun.

“There was no notice. Only shots breaking the crowd. Desperate people ran in all directions as the bullets flew,” said reporter Tareq Abu Azzoum in Deir al-Balah.

Report of Associated Press He revealed that US security guards hired by GHF used royal ammunition and grenades of moral effect against Palestinians. Two former horses, under anonymity, stated that agents are poorly prepared, without supervision and “with carte blanche to act as they want.” The foundation denied the accusations, but did not present evidence.

The most serious complaint came from within Israel. The newspaper Haaretz He has published a series of testimonies of military soldiers and officers who confirm direct orders to open fire against unarmed crowds near the distribution points.

In response, the military command acknowledged that between 30 and 40 civilians were killed or injured in a single bombing “not calculated” in Gaza. Despite the retreat, the high echelon of the army defended the continuity of Gideon’s operation.

Norwegian doctor Mads Gilbert, with over 30 years of experience in Gaza, classified the GHF operation as a cruel scam.

“The distribution of food has become bait. They attract the hungry to kill them. This is state terrorism. Throwing people in food lines is a war crime,” he told Al Jazeera.

Ceasefire without guarantee: negotiations lock while bombs fall

Donald Trump stated that the negotiation proposal is “final” and publicly charged Hamas to accept the plan. “The situation will not improve – it will only get worse,” the US president threatened on his social network.

The proposal, presented by his envoy Steve Witkoff, foresees 60-day ceasefire with partial hostage release in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. The next step would supposedly include the end of the war – but without any written guarantee.

Hamas has confirmed that it studies the proposal, but states that the “central points continue without solution.” The group requires an agreement that includes definitive ceasefire, withdrawal from Israeli troops and guarantee of humanitarian relief. “We are ready to accept any proposal that leads to the end of the war,” said Taher Al-Nunu, spokesman for the group.

On the Israeli side, Minister Gideon Sa’ar admitted that there is a majority in the cabinet for a hostage release agreement, but reiterated that Hamas should be eliminated. Netanyahu, in turn, stated that “there will be no more hamstick”, in reference to the group’s management in Gaza, and promised “Total Victory”, in a challenge to the ongoing negotiations.

Despite the rhetoric, the army announced new evacuations in northern Gaza and kept the air strikes. UN Ambassador Danny Danon said Israel is “ready for ceasefire,” but has conditioned the end of the war on the return of hostages.

Hamas sources reported that the mediators of Egypt and Qatar did not have a new proposal, but only variations of the already rejected in June. The group insists that any ceasefire must be accompanied by international guarantees.

Endless War: Dead goes from 57,000 and civilians follow as a target

Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive in October 2023, more than 57,000 Palestinians have been killed, the Gaza Ministry of Health points out. Most victims are civilians, including thousands of women and children.

This week, Israeli attacks killed at least 139 people in 24 hours, according to local sanitary authorities. One of the targets was the director of Indonesian hospital, Marwan Al-Sultan, murdered with his wife and five children.

Despite the draft of truce, Israel continues without removing troops and continues to bombard densely populated areas. The army claims to have reached “terrorist targets” and claims to regret deaths from “unmanned individuals.” Still, it imposes severe restrictions on the entry of help and keeps access to northern Gaza, where hunger is more acute.

GHF, the center of international complaints, is the target of closing requests from more than 170 humanitarian organizations. Oxfam and Save the Children say Israeli military “routinely” shooting hungry civilians.

Israel denies, but does not allow UN agencies to operate independently. According to Unrwa, only four GHF mega-centers work, all away from the most affected areas.

In the midst of diplomatic impasse, continuous violence and humanitarian blockade, the Palestinian population lives under constant threat. Without guarantee of definitive ceasefire, without withdrawal of troops and without effective international relief, Gaza remains under siege-while the world negotiates.
