Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 1 can of cream

  • 1 cup cognac (or brandy)

  • 1/2 cup chocolate liqueur (such as cocoa liqueur)

  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 6 sugar cubes

  • 100 ml strong, cold coffee

Directions

  • Start by dissolving the sugar cubes in cold coffee. 
    Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. 
    Let cool.
  • In a blender, add the condensed milk, cream, brandy, chocolate liqueur, coffee liqueur, vanilla extract and cocoa powder.
  • Add the sweetened coffee to the blender mixture.
  • Mix all ingredients in a blender at high speed until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a sterilized bottle or airtight container.
  • Store in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before consuming. 
    This will allow the flavors to blend and the drink to take on a smoother, velvety flavor.
  • Serve the homemade Amarula very cold, preferably in small liqueur glasses.
