Easy to make, green corn angu has a simple step-by-step guide and results that please the palate!

Ingredients

  • 500 ml of water

  • 2 ears of green corn

  • 2 crushed garlic cloves

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1/2 onion chopped into cubes

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Green scent to taste

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • Remove the hairs from the cobs and cut the corn kernels very close to the cobs.
  • Place the corn and water in the blender, cover and blend for a few minutes.
  • Strain the mixture, pressing with a spatula to extract all the juice and discard the pomace.
  • In a pan, add the olive oil, crushed garlic, chopped onion and sauté, stirring well, until golden.
  • Stir the liquid mixture, add to the pan and mix. 
    Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Continue stirring constantly until the mixture becomes creamy and after it starts to boil, cook for another 5 minutes over medium to low heat, always stirring well.
  • Turn off the heat, finish by adding chopped green pepper to taste and the green corn angu is ready to consume.
