Ingredients

  • 500g dried meat, desalted and shredded

  • 1 kg of cassava

  • 1 medium chopped onion

  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 cup grated curd cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Chopped parsley to garnish

Directions

  • In a pressure cooker, cook the cassava until it is very soft. 
    Run the water and book.
  • In another pan, saute onion and garlic in butter until golden.
  • Add the shredded dried meat to the stew and sauté for a few more minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a bowl, mash the cooked cassava until it forms a puree. 
    Add the milk gradually and continue kneading until you get a creamy consistency. 
    Season with salt to taste.
  • In a refractory greased with butter, make a layer of cassava puree at the bottom.
  • Then place a layer of braised beef jerky over the puree.
  • Repeat the layers until you finish the ingredients, finishing with a layer of cassava puree.
  • Sprinkle the grated curd cheese on top.
  • Take it to the preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
