Ingredients
500g desalted and shredded codfish
1 kg of potato
1 medium chopped onion
3 minced garlic cloves
1 egg
1 tablespoon wheat flour
Parsley and chives to taste
Salt and black pepper to taste
Frying oil
Directions
- Cook the potatoes until soft. Drain and mash well with a fork.
- In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic in a little olive oil or oil until golden.
- Add the shredded cod and sauté for a few more minutes.
- Add wheat flour and mix well.
- Turn off the heat and add the mashed potato, egg, parsley, chives, salt and black pepper. Mix everything very well.
- Let the mixture cool down a bit and, with your hands, model dumplings the size you want.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the dumplings until golden. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- The cod fritters are ready! Serve hot with a sauce of your choice. Enjoy!
