Avoador – Easy and dry flour biscuit

Biscoito Avoador de Polvilho, easy and dry, a recipe that my grandma always made and everyone loved. 
There’s nothing better than a manioc flour biscuit for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 500gr of sour starch

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 cup of oil

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon of salt

Directions

  • Scald the starch with boiling water.
  • With your fingertips mix well until the starch absorbs all the liquid, forming a fine farofa.
  • Add the milk, oil, egg and salt and mix well.
  • Knead until you get a smooth dough, pour the dough into a pastry bag, or use the sprinkle bag.
  • In a baking dish model the cookies, it is not necessary to grease the mold.
  • Take to preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • This is my grandma’s old recipe, and it was a huge success at home.
