  • 500g desalted and shredded codfish

  • 1 kg of potato

  • 1 medium chopped onion

  • 3 minced garlic cloves

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon wheat flour

  • Parsley and chives to taste

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Frying oil


  • Cook the potatoes until soft. Drain and mash well with a fork.
  • In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic in a little olive oil or oil until golden.
  • Add the shredded cod and sauté for a few more minutes.
  • Add wheat flour and mix well.
  • Turn off the heat and add the mashed potato, egg, parsley, chives, salt and black pepper. Mix everything very well.
  • Let the mixture cool down a bit and, with your hands, model dumplings the size you want.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry the dumplings until golden. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  • The cod fritters are ready! Serve hot with a sauce of your choice. Enjoy!
