To make your Brigadeirão, use the ingredients listed below and follow the preparation instructions.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk (approximately 395g)

  • 2 cans of milk (use the can of condensed milk as a measure)

  • 3 tablespoons of chocolate powder

  • 3 whole eggs

  • 1 tablespoon margarine or butter

  • Chocolate sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Grease a pudding mold with margarine or butter and set aside.
  • In a blender, place the condensed milk, milk, chocolate powder, whole eggs and margarine. 
    Beat everything until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pudding mold.
  • Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
  • Place the pan in a larger baking dish and add hot water to the pan until the water reaches about half the height of the pudding mold. 
    This will help to bake the brigadeirão in a bain-marie.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour. 
    Check the consistency of the brigadeirão with a toothpick or knife; 
    it should come out clean when ready.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before unmolding.
  • When it is completely cold, turn out the brigadeirão onto a serving plate.
  • If desired, decorate with chocolate sprinkles before serving.
  • Serve the brigadeiro chilled. 
    You can keep it in the fridge for a few hours before serving to make it even firmer and more flavorful.
