Ingredients
3 whole eggs
1 sliced ​​pineapple
1 cup (tea) and 3/4 of wheat flour
1 cup (tea) of hot milk (240 ml)
1 cup (tea) sugar (200 grams)
1 pack of pineapple gelatin (20 grams)
1 tablespoon chemical baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1/2 cup (tea) of oil
1 cup (tea) of water (240 ml)
1 cup (tea) and 1/2 of sugar
Directions
- Start by making the syrup: put 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar in a pan and caramelize until golden.
- Once the caramel melts and turns golden, add 1 cup of water and boil for 5 minutes, or until the caramel melts again.
- Transfer the syrup to a shape and spread it well.Â
Then add the pineapple slices next to each other and set aside. - Add the gelatine and hot milk in a glass or bowl, stir until dissolved and set aside.
- In a container place the eggs, oil, sugar and stir well.Â
Add the sifted flour, salt, pineapple gelatin mixture and stir again. - Add the baking powder and stir until homogenized.Â
Pour the dough over the pineapple and bake for 40 to 50 minutes in a preheated oven at 180º₢. - Unmold the caramelized pineapple cake after it cools down and it is ready to serve.
