The Palestinian massacre in the Gaza track had another cruel chapter on Sunday (1), when an attack on the Rafah region, in a humanitarian aid area where hungry people received food, left 31 dead and 170 injured.

According to Associated Press, an armed group shot the crowd. A witness heard by the agency reported that there were “shots from all directions – from war ships, tanks and drones.”

Palestinian authorities attribute attacks on Israeli military. The army of Israel says it is unaware of the existence of wounded “caused by military fire” and stated that the situation was being “evaluated.”

As if the systematic attacks of Israel were not enough to the Palestinian population, the blockade to humanitarian aid has climbed further, leading to one of the most serious situations experienced by the local population since the attacks began in October 2023.

On Friday (30), Jens Laerke, the UN Office spokesman for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said the region is today “the most hungry place in the world.” He also said that the only food that could arrive in Gaza was flour, which does not help, since the population is not even able to cook. He added that “100% of Gaza’s population are at risk of starving.”

This Saturday (31), the Hamas Group responded to the 60-day ceasefire proposal presented by the United States. The group proposed to be released ten living Israeli hostages, as well as the delivery of 18 bodies, on the condition that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu released Palestinian prisoners and removing the Gaza troops.

According to Netanyahu, the conditions would be “unacceptable”. The terms presented by the US predicted only a 60 -day truce and the exchange of 28 of the 58 Israeli hostages held in Gaza by Hamas, in exchange for more than 1,200 prisoners detained by Israel.
