Communist Party of Israel repudiates aggression launched against Iran

The Communist Party of Israel (PCI) joined the wave of demonstrations against the insane bombing that hit Iran, promoted by the United States and Israel. In a note signed together with the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality, the party condemns the military action and draws attention to the possibility of an imminent war, if the governments of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are not prevented.

According to the PCI, the State of Israel is an instrument of US global imperialism. The party also warns “against exploiting public concern about this attack to intensify massacres and crimes of ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and to expand the fascist offensive and the rise of racism in Israel.”

In this sense, the party and the Front call on “true peace movements within Israeli society to raise their voices against Israel-US aggression.”

PCI and the Front condemn Israeli and US aggression against Iran and warn of the dangers of a comprehensive war

The Communist Party of Israel (PCI) and the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality (Al Jabha/Hadash) condemn the war of aggression launched by Israel in the early hours of the morning of Saturday, February 28, against Iran, and claim that this attack is a joint Israeli-American aggression, warning that it could trigger a large-scale regional or global war.

The PCI and the Front reaffirm that Israel is not only an instrument of US global imperialism, but also a partner in it and its efforts to impose US imperialist hegemony over the world and its natural and economic resources, and to subject all governments to US political and economic interests. This includes all parts of the world, especially the Middle East and Latin America.

The PCI and the Front also point to the danger of the near consensus between the government and the main Israeli opposition parties regarding the war of aggression against Iran, and warn against exploiting public opinion’s concern about this attack to intensify massacres and crimes of ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and to expand the fascist offensive and the rise of racism in Israel.

We also call on all true peace movements within Israeli society to raise their voices against Israel-US aggression, and to demand the withdrawal of US forces and all nuclear weapons from the Middle East.

The PCI and the Front appeal to the public to take precautions, warning against the recurrence of tragedies, especially in Arab cities and suburbs that lack shelters and means of protection.
