Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch/maizena

  • 1 cup mashed boiled potato (tea)

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 whole egg

  • seasoning to taste

  • ham to taste

  • cheese to taste

  • peas to taste

  • corn to taste

  • salt to taste

Directions

  • Beat the egg with a pinch of salt in a bowl, add the cornstarch and stir well.
  • Add the boiled and mashed potato, mix well, then put the baking powder and stir until homogenized.
  • Add chopped cheese and ham, peas, corn, seasoning and salt to taste. 
    Mix the ingredients very well.
  • Grease a frying pan with a lid or an omelet maker with butter, margarine or oil, add the bread dough and spread it out well.
  • Light the medium heat, cover the skillet or omelette pan and turn the bread over when it browns underneath and starts to get firmer.
  • Cover again and cook the bread for a few more minutes, until the other side is also browned. 
    Transfer to a plate and the potato bread is ready.
