To make your Carrot Mug Cake very quickly, use the ingredients below and follow the step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg

  • 3 tablespoons of sugar

  • 2 tablespoons of oil

  • 4 tablespoons wheat flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

  • 2 tablespoons grated carrot

Directions

  • Crack the egg into a mug big enough for the cake to rise without overflowing. 
    Beat with a fork until smooth.
  • Add sugar and mix well.
  • Then add the oil and mix until well combined.
  • Add the flour, baking soda and baking powder to the mixture and mix well.
  • Add the grated carrot and mix again.
  • Place the mug in the microwave and cook for about 1 minute and 30 seconds on high power. 
    Baking time may vary depending on the power of your microwave, so check the cake after 1 minute and 15 seconds and adjust the time as needed.
  • Carefully remove the mug from the microwave as it will be hot. 
    Let cool for a few minutes before enjoying. 
    If you like, add a topping of your choice, such as cream cheese frosting or hazelnut spread.
