British royalty met at Windsor Castle; it was the 1st celebration without Queen Elizabeth II

The British royal family gathered this Sunday (April 9, 2023) at Windsor Castle to celebrate Easter. It was the 1st meeting of the date under the reign of Charles 3rd and without Queen Elizabeth 2nd.

The King walked to the Chapel of St. George accompanied by his wife and Queen Consort, Camilla; his son, Prince William; his daughter-in-law, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton; and the grandchildren: George, Charlotte and Louis. The photos were released on the royal profile on Twitter.

According to the news agency Reuters, the king’s younger brother, Prince Andrew, was at the meeting. He was removed from his royal duties by a sexual abuse lawsuit, in the United States, in 2022.

The date also represents the 18th wedding anniversary of Charles III and Camilla, who were married at Windsor Castle in 2005.
