The UN (United Nations) included the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on a global list of those responsible for crimes against children. The list is part of a report that will be delivered to the UN Security Council at its June 14 meeting.

The inclusion made by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, was received with outrage by the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Israel’s envoy to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan. Both defended their army and Chancellor Israel Katz said the decision will impact relations with the entity.

Last month, Erdan staged a regrettable scene when he shredded a letter from the UN on the bench of the General Assembly where a resolution for Palestine to become a full member of the Organization was being voted on.
