Ingredients

  • 3 cups wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine at room temperature

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

  • 4 ripe bananas cut into slices

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine at room temperature

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. 
    Unite a medium rectangular shape with butter or margarine and sprinkle with wheat flour.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and ground cinnamon.
  • Add the butter at room temperature and mix with your fingers until you form a thick crumb. 
    Add the egg and mix well until a homogeneous mass is formed.
  • Put half the dough in the mold and press with your hands to cover the bottom of the mold. 
    Cover the dough with the banana slices.
  • In another bowl, mix the sugar, wheat flour, butter at room temperature and cinnamon powder until you form a thick crumb. 
    Spread this farofa over the bananas.
  • Cover the farofa with the rest of the dough, pressing with your hands to cover well.
  • Take it to the oven for about 40 minutes, or until the cuca is golden and crispy.
  • Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
