Owner of a famous designer store, Cavalli was known for working with ‘animal print’

Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli died this Friday (April 12, 2024) in the city of Florence. The agency ANSA confirmed that he was facing an illness and that his health condition had recently worsened.

Cavalli was known for creating pieces with animal prints. He opened his own luxury brand in 1970, which is named after him.

Internationally renowned, the designer has dressed celebrities such as Zendaya and Miley Cyrus. In 2023, he signed one of the costumes for “The Eras Tour”by American singer Taylor Swift.

In a post on the Roberto Cavalli brand’s Instagram, CEO Sergio Azzolari mourned the designer’s death and stated that “his legacy will continue to be a source of inspiration.”

Roberto Cavalli was born on November 15, 1940 in Florence, Italy. He graduated from the Liceo Artistico Statale di Porta Romana e Sesto Fiorentino. The designer leaves behind 6 children.
