Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/2 cup warm water
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour and salt.
- Make a well in the center of the mixture and add the egg, warm water and vegetable oil.
- Using a spoon or your hands, mix the ingredients well until a smooth, uniform dough forms. If necessary, add more water or flour to adjust the consistency of the dough.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it is thin, about 2-3 mm thick.
- Cut the dough into circles of the desired size for the pastries.
- Place the filling of your choice on each circle of dough.
- Fold the dough in half, forming half moons, and press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Repeat the process until all the dough and filling are used.
- Fry the pastries in hot oil until they are golden and crispy.
- Drain on paper towel and serve hot.
