Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour and salt.
  • Make a well in the center of the mixture and add the egg, warm water and vegetable oil.
  • Using a spoon or your hands, mix the ingredients well until a smooth, uniform dough forms. If necessary, add more water or flour to adjust the consistency of the dough.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it is thin, about 2-3 mm thick.
  • Cut the dough into circles of the desired size for the pastries.
  • Place the filling of your choice on each circle of dough.
  • Fold the dough in half, forming half moons, and press the edges with a fork to seal.
  • Repeat the process until all the dough and filling are used.
  • Fry the pastries in hot oil until they are golden and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towel and serve hot.
