A delicious option for a snack or to serve as an aperitif, these minced meat dumplings with potato dough are irresistible!

Ingredients

  • 3 heaped tablespoons of mimoso cornmeal

  • 450 grams of boiled potatoes with salt

  • Ground meat filling to taste

  • Cornmeal for breading

Directions

  • Cook the peeled potatoes in boiling water with salt to taste for about 20 to 30 minutes, or until soft.
  • Mash the cooked potatoes with a fork in a bowl until they have a puree consistency.
  • Add the cornmeal, mix until homogenized and let it rest for 5 minutes to hydrate.
  • Lightly flatten portions of the dough and add a little filling with ground meat and shape the dumplings with greased hands.
  • Dip the dumplings in cornmeal to coat and fry them in hot oil until lightly golden.
  • Transfer the dumplings to a plate lined with paper towel and they are ready to serve.
